This week we had the pleasure of interviewing customer and great friend to the store Bouna Choe.
She has her hand in all areas of the industry - styling, runway show production, and working with one of our favorite accessory lines, Tuleste Market. Oh also, she is flyy!
In the first installment of our weekly interview series we pick her brain with all the fashion (and not-so-fashion related) questions we can think of. We thought it would be fun to get to know our friends and customers better - by extension sharing a bit about ourselves with you!! Enjoyy .. x
1. What do you do, job-wise?
I work for Tuleste Market, a jewelry, shoe and handbag company, doing a little bit of everything… I also produce runway shows every New York Fashion Week working with designers such as Derek Lam, Peter Som and Jason Wu.
2. What do you do, fun-wise?
I have a diverse group of creative and interesting friends so whether I’m just hanging out or running around the city all night I’m always having fun. Love traveling and weekend trips, love exploring New York, love being in bed
3. Can you describe your personal style?
What I wear usually depends on my mood, but I think I’m pretty classic with a little edge. I’m not afraid to experiment, and I love playing dress up and getting dressed. I definitely feel more comfortable dressed up and in heels then in flats any time of day.
4. Who are your favorite designers at the moment?
Phillip Lim has always been a favorite, obsessed with everything from Celine right now, Derek Lam, Karl Lagerfeld is obviously genius
5. Most-worn item of clothing?
Depends on the season but for Fall/Winter I live in this Alexander Wang oversized intarsia cardigan with a tiger on the back. During Spring/Summer my go-to was this pair of vintage reworked denim and grey denim mixed hi-waisted shorts.
6. Best remedy you know for having your heart broken?
Make out sesh with someone else haha
7. Your motto:
KEEP IT CUTE
8. You smell like:
I can’t reveal the name of it, but I wear this perfume oil that’s like a love potion… I literally get stopped everywhere for it. It’s light and it smells fresh and clean, and I’ve been wearing it for years.
9. Last book you read without skipping any parts?
A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole
10. If you were running for president, who would be your running mate?
11. Which one of your activities would present the greatest problem for the secret service?
